In 9 months of the current year, 412 cases of sexual crimes were recorded in Georgia, 272 of them were solved. Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
In particular, according to the agency's information, from January 1 to September 30, 2023, 154 cases of rape were registered, 54 cases of other sexual acts, 22 cases of sexual penetration into a person's body or forcing of other sexual acts, 86 cases of sexual penetration into the body of a person under the age of sixteen, and 96 cases of depraved actions.
According to statistical data, in the same period of last year, 396 cases of sexual crimes were recorded, therefore, the said crime increased by 4.04%.
