In 30 years, we tried to go to the world and Europe 14 times, but we could not fulfill our dream even once - I believe that today the boys will put their heart and soul into victory and write a new page in the history of Georgian football, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in a video address.

As Kobakhidze mentioned, we have the best team that has the will to win and can win.

"The Georgian national team played its first official match exactly 30 years ago, in 1994. The team was born and grew up before our eyes. We all remember well, each step taken by our team, each victory, each goal, which instilled in us the hope of realizing our dreams.

During 30 years, we tried 14 times to go to the world and Europe, but we never once failed to fulfill our dream, although we did not leave the team for a second to the loyal fans. We have never lost faith in the Georgian football gene and our boys, that they will definitely make our dream come true, they gave us a new May 13.

Now we are half a step away from realizing this dream. We have the best team that has the will to win and can win. I believe that today the boys will put their heart and soul into victory and write a new page in the history of Georgian football. I believe that Georgia will win today", said the Prime Minister.

For information, the national football team of Georgia will face the national team of Greece today in the final match of the qualifying stage of Euro 2024. The match will start at "Dinamo Arena" at 21:00. Simultaneously with the match, an event organized by the Tbilisi City Hall and the Georgian Football Federation will be held at the First Republic Square, and a big screen will be placed on the territory for football fans.
