Salome Zurabishvili: I am waiting for President Macron in Georgia on the Independence Day, May 26

According to the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, she has invited the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, to the country for the Independence Day.
"I wrote to President Macron, I am waiting for him on the Independence Day of Georgia, May 26," the President said in an interview with La Tribune Dimanche.
According to her, now the future of not only Georgia, but the entire region is at stake.
"Not only Georgia is at stake, this is about finally freeing the Caucasus from the mentality of the Soviet yoke and Russian influence," Salome Zurabishvili said in a conversation with La Tribune Dimanche.
The press-speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, responded to the President's statement and noted that the French authorities are hysterically looking for a place for New Caledonia.
"It seems that they are hysterically looking for a new place for New Caledonia in the Elysée Palace, choosing between Georgia and Armenia," Zakharova said.
