Ukrainian troops left Soledar

The command of the Ukrainian troops officially announced that the troops left the city of Soledar, Donetsk region. This was announced by the representative of the eastern group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Cherevaty. According to him, this decision was made to save the lives of the Ukrainian military.

 
"To save the lives of the personnel, the Defense Forces withdrew from Soledar, entrenched themselves on pre-prepared defense lines. The defenders of Soledar created a real feat, despite the superiority of the enemy by 3-5 times, they firmly held their positions," he said.

According to Cherevaty, the Ukrainian military inflicted huge losses on the enemy, which can be compared with the losses of the aggressor in the two Chechen wars.

He noted that the Ukrainian defenders completed the task: they did not allow the enemy to break through "in the Donetsk direction of the front and enter the rear, and then move to the operational space."

He added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had exhausted Russian forces in this direction.

"The front line was leveled: neither encirclement nor capture occurred. This is a war. Each commander makes decisions taking into account the maximum benefit for his troops. We cannot afford the luxury that our enemy allows to simply throw fighters to the slaughter. We are trying to maneuver, strike with fire, use the tactics of small groups in order to deplete the enemy as much as possible," the representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained the situation.

He also added that Russia wants to draw attention to "the small town of Soledar against the backdrop of the fact that it had previously suffered significant defeats in the Kyiv region, during the Kharkov, Liman and Kherson operations."

Russian invaders stormed the city for several months. They announced many times that they had allegedly taken him, but it turned out to be a fake.

According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, the Russian invaders in Soledar suffered huge losses because they chose the wrong tactics.
