The court imposed a fine of 2000 GEL on Davit Katsarava

Davit Katsarava, a member of the "Anti-Occupation Movement", who was arrested at the rally against the law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence", was recognized by the court as a violator in one of the two articles.

The mentioned decision was made by the judge of the Tbilisi City Court, Koba Chagunava.

According to the judge's decision, Davit Katsarava was fined 2000 GEL as an administrative fine.

Koba Chagunava terminated the proceedings against Davit Katsarava for committing an act stipulated by Article 166 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which implies petty hooliganism, due to lack of evidence and lack of confirmation.

As for the second - Article 173, which involves disobeying and insulting a police officer, the judge recognized it as a violation of the law.

According to judge Koba Chagunava, he has seen the footage and heard from Davit Katsarava himself during the explanation stage that he told the representatives of the special forces that they were representatives of the Russian government. According to the judge, such an appeal is insulting to persons who serve to protect the history of Georgia.

According to the decision of Koba Chagunava, Davit Katsarava was deprived of the right to carry firearms for a period of two years.

Davit Katsarava himself did not attend the announcement of the decision.

They were accused of committing a law violation under Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Katsarava, which implies disobedience to a police officer and petty hooliganism.

In addition, the special investigation service started an investigation into the fact of violent abuse of authority by the police against Davit Katsarava. Katsarava has the status of a victim in the mentioned case.
