Ivanishvili is trying to feed the citizens of Georgia with false fears and conspiracies, but I am deeply convinced that on October 26, the citizens of Georgia will make an informed choice regarding the Euro-Atlantic future of our country, - Tina Bokuchava, the chairperson of the United National Movement, said in response to the statement released by the State Security Service.
He called the mentioned accusations absurd and explained that this is what caused the change in the policy of the partners towards the ruling power.
"Absurd accusations and constant attacks against Ukraine, USA, EU high-ranking officials and the West are exactly what led to the change of Western policy towards Ivanishvili's government and imposition of sanctions against him and his team. We heard yesterday in the Congress that precisely because of his anti-Western, anti-national, anti-state policy, financial sanctions are being considered, among others. I am deeply convinced that Ivanishvili's attempt to feed Georgian citizens with conspiracies to maintain power will be extremely unsuccessful in the October 26 elections, and Georgian citizens will make an informed choice about the Euro-Atlantic future of our country.
It is a constant conspiracy, disinformation, Russian-style propaganda, what our Western partners call hybrid warfare. By instilling false fear, Ivanishvili is trying to mislead the citizens of Georgia and keep power on that basis.
I think that I, as a politician, should not focus at all on the absurd delusion and constant conspiracy theory that Ivanishvili is trying to feed the Georgian citizens with, instead of giving the Georgian citizens the opportunity to make an informed choice on October 26. The main task for us is to talk based on facts, to quote congressmen, so that Georgian citizens are informed and make an informed choice about the Euro-Atlantic future of our country", said Tina Bokuchava.
